Valet Attendant

Position Overview

As a Valet Attendant, you will welcome guests and assist with vehicle entry and departure on the property. Your role includes managing the flow of personal and commercial vehicles such as guest cars, taxis, limousines, and buses to ensure proper parking and smooth traffic movement.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and visitors warmly in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Provide guests with directions and information about the property’s amenities, services, operating hours, as well as local attractions and activities.
• Oversee parking areas to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness; promptly report any hazards, unauthorized persons, or security concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain security of vehicles and their keys at all times.
• Communicate parking procedures clearly to guests and visitors, and manage vehicular traffic to facilitate efficient flow.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and safety protocols, including reporting incidents, completing necessary training, and preserving confidentiality of company information.
• Engage professionally with colleagues and guests via in-person contact and telephone communications.
• Support team goals by fostering positive working relationships and collaborative teamwork.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and maintain high service quality.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for long periods during shifts, and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds independently.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or a G.E.D. equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
• No previous related work or supervisory experience is required.
• Possession of a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license or equivalent is mandatory.

Work Environment and Benefits

• Employment is full-time at the Ottawa, Ontario location.
• Hourly wage is fixed at $18.94, with eligibility for tips and service charge compensation.
