Housekeeping Executive

Overview

Join Marriott International as a Housekeeping Executive at our Hyderabad location on Tank Bund Road, opposite Hussain Sagar Lake. This non-management, full-time role focuses on maintaining high-quality cleanliness standards throughout guest rooms and public areas, while overseeing daily housekeeping operations and coordinating between related departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect cleaned guest rooms, public spaces, and pool areas to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Generate and review sold room reports, verify room statuses, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning tasks, and update room availability accordingly.
• Support housekeeping management with daily operational activities and act as a communication bridge between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry teams.
• Document room discrepancies and coordinate resolution efforts with the Front Desk.
• Manage and communicate changes in room assignments and ensure seamless handovers between shifts.
• Assist in recruitment, employee training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, disciplinary actions, motivation, and coaching of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and security procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary company information while protecting company assets.
• Welcome guests warmly according to company standards, anticipate and address guest needs including assistance for individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Engage professionally with colleagues and guests using clear communication, fostering positive work relationships and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and positioning objects up to 55 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance; maneuver housekeeping carts and equipment over uneven surfaces; and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts.
• Operate computers and point of sale systems to access and record work-related information, and accurately interpret varied formats of written information.
• Carry out any additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of relevant work experience in housekeeping.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
