Job Overview

The Storekeeper position at Marriott International based in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, involves receiving, organizing, and managing goods across various departments. This role ensures accurate placement and timely delivery of materials while maintaining stock levels and adhering to safety and quality standards within the hotel's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise and categorize it by department.
• Label items appropriately and stack goods on pallets or carts.
• Fill requisition forms for stock and supplies as necessary.
• Notify supervisors promptly about low inventory levels.
• Handle deliveries, properly store perishables, and rotate inventory.
• Inspect shipments for freshness, cleanliness, quality, and integrity.
• Reject damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Follow food safety guidelines and handling procedures in all relevant areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cartons, and waste to designated storage zones.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; participate in safety training and certification.
• Comply with company policies, maintain professional personal appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Maintain positive working relationships and support team objectives.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards and expectations.
• Physically perform tasks including stretching, bending, twisting, crawling, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs or ramps, standing or walking for extended periods.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent (General Educational Development certificate).
• No prior relevant work experience required.
• No supervisory experience necessary.
• No licenses or certifications required.
