Bartender

Overview

The Bartender at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Riyadh is responsible for crafting beverages according to precise recipes, ensuring an exceptional guest experience through attentive service and maintaining the bar’s cleanliness and stock. This full-time, non-management role demands adherence to safety standards and a commitment to professional appearance and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of drink orders following established recipes using precise measurement tools.
• Open and serve wine and champagne bottles to guests professionally.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar units, tables, and related equipment.
• Create fresh garnishes to complement beverages and ensure the bar is stocked with ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Transport necessary supplies to the bar setup area and manage the washing of soiled glassware.
• Clear used glassware and utensils from bar tops and tables.
• Monitor and communicate restocking needs to keep the workflow efficient.
• Handle all forms of payment and accurately balance the cash bank at shift's end, resolving discrepancies and securing funds.
• Safeguard liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets, and storage spaces.
• Perform closing duties to prepare the bar area for the next day.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report workplace accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete all mandatory safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance at all times.
• Respect confidentiality of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Greet guests warmly according to company standards, anticipate their needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests while fostering positive workplace relationships.
• Support team efforts to achieve shared objectives and respond suitably to coworkers' concerns.
• Uphold quality standards and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Adapt to the physical demands of the job, including standing or walking for long periods, lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds, maneuvering through confined or uneven spaces, and performing repetitive motions.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a hospitality or bartending capacity.
• Supervisory experience is not required.
• No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
