Role Overview

The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in managing and assisting with laundry production and dry cleaning operations. This position ensures the proper handling, sorting, and processing of guest laundry and uniforms, maintaining efficiency and quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and properly log incoming guest laundry items.
• Notify supervisors immediately about any damaged or missing guest laundry.
• Utilize the tagging machine to register guest laundry.
• Operate Micro Systems (Micros) as applicable during laundry processing.
• Distribute cleaned guest laundry to butlers accurately.
• Sort dried linens by type and fold them appropriately for storage.
• Separate torn or stained room linens and Food & Beverage linens.
• Count and verify linen quantities against laundry requisitions.
• Soak contaminated items and manage de-staining procedures.
• Clean lint traps and maintain cleanliness of the laundry area.
• Load laundry items into washers and select suitable washing programs.
• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironers according to instructions.

• Meals are provided while on duty and on days off.

Qualifications and Experience

• No formal education such as high school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 2 years professional work experience in a related field is preferred.
