About the Role
Chedi Hospitality seeks an experienced Barista to join their team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management, along with at least two years of experience in hotel operations. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to quality customer service are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Offer friendly and professional customer interactions, including greeting guests, accurately taking orders, suggesting menu items, and responding swiftly to inquiries or special requests.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the menu, including specialty beverages and potential allergens, to provide guests with detailed information.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the hotel's POS system and issue receipts while managing correct change.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the coffee preparation area, service spaces, and all equipment through regular sanitation routines.
- Monitor and replenish inventory such as coffee beans, syrups, and supplies; report any shortages or issues to management.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to facilitate smooth service delivery and resolve operational concerns.
- Strictly follow all hotel policies, procedures, hygiene protocols, and health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment.
Additional Duties
- Participate actively in training sessions and meetings as required.
- Demonstrate responsible conduct and represent the hotel professionally at all times.
- Maintain constructive relationships with industry peers, including competitors and business partners.
- Adhere to the hotel's employee handbook policies, especially those related to IT, fire safety, hygiene, and health standards.
- Uphold high standards of personal grooming and presentation.
- Stay adaptable to changes in the Food and Beverage sector in line with company and industry developments.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
