Role Overview

Join The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah's hospitality team as a Laundry Attendant responsible for ensuring top-quality cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene standards. This onsite position demands efficient handling, cleaning, pressing, folding, and distribution of hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry, maintaining luxury hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort, gather, wash, dry, press, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items following established protocols.
• Manage guest laundry and dry-cleaning items attentively, ensuring correct identification, processing, and timely delivery.
• Inspect laundry pieces for stains, damages, missing buttons, tears, and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Operate laundry machinery such as washing machines, dryers, steam irons, and pressing units safely and efficiently.
• Apply appropriate washing and drying methods for varied fabric types.
• Accurately measure and handle laundry chemicals, detergents, and cleaning agents with safety.
• Organize, fold, store, and distribute clean linens, uniforms, and items to relevant departments.
• Maintain orderly, clean laundry area, storage locations, equipment, and workstations.
• Support par stock maintenance for linens, towels, uniforms, and related supplies.
• Separate soiled and clean laundry as per hygiene and sanitation guidelines.
• Keep accurate records of laundry processed, received, damaged, or returned as required.
• Report equipment breakdowns, maintenance needs, damaged articles, or shortages promptly to supervisors.
• Adhere to hotel policies related to hygiene, safety, chemical handling, and infection prevention.
• Assist housekeeping and other departments with laundry-related needs to facilitate smooth hotel operations.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as Laundry Attendant, Laundry Assistant, or similar role in a luxury or five-star hotel environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care, stain removal, and washing techniques.
• Proficiency in operating laundry equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience handling guest laundry and dry-clean protocols.
• Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• High attention to detail and dedication to maintaining excellent cleanliness and presentation levels.
• Capability to perform efficiently in a high-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cohesively in a team.
• Physical stamina to stand for long durations, lift laundry loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
