Bakery Associate

Role Overview

Key Duties

• Maintain the quality and appealing presentation of bakery goods including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department is fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
• Verify that all merchandise is correctly labeled and priced.
• Comply with cold chain standards including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, appropriate food handling, product rotation, and adhering to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols.
• Execute accurate procedures for ordering stock, managing clearance, pricing adjustments, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery items by following precise thawing and baking instructions to maintain product quality.
• Ensure all bakery displays are securely and safely arranged.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be aged 16 years or older.
