Job Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Self Checkout Attendant provides a great chance to develop core skills in customer interaction and retail processes. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean self-checkout area by removing any clutter, spills, or foreign items.
- Encourage participation in company initiatives such as credit card offers, product warranty programs, and charitable efforts when appropriate.
- Assist shoppers in efficiently navigating the self-checkout process, provide guidance as needed, oversee activity, and carry out necessary verifications. Address technical or cash-related challenges by informing the Customer Service Manager.
- React promptly to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms, following protocols, and accurately documenting any failure to deactivate incidents.
- Ensure Scan & Go devices are properly returned to designated storage after use.
- Demonstrate flexibility by accepting shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays to maintain seamless store operations and dependable customer service.
- Manage high volume tasks effectively, especially during overnight shifts, by preparing to maintain focus and energy.
- Perform physical tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds, and consistently handle repetitive duties like stocking and organizing store products.

Compensation
The base pay for this position starts at $15.50 per hour.
