Deli Bakery Team Associate

Role Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while embodying Walmart's core values. This role involves maintaining organization and cleanliness in the Bakery and Deli departments, assisting with stocking tasks, and supporting sales operations.

Key Duties

• Organize and maintain product shelves, tables, and storage bunks to ensure proper placement and neatness.
• Manage stock rotation practices, checking for expired items to uphold quality standards.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly labeled with accurate pricing and signage.
• Comply with protocols relating to cold chain management, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling procedures, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Process customer orders within the Deli Department, prepare hot food items, and provide relevant customer assistance.
• Utilize utensils to prepare deli food items, operate the rotisserie oven for chicken preparation, and replenish side dishes in display units.
• Follow precise thawing and baking instructions to prepare bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls, guaranteeing quality and appearance.
• Adhere to appropriate procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns/markups, pricing, labeling, and flagging merchandise.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
