About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate and advance your skills within the retail sector. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, maintaining the bakery area, and supporting stocking and merchandising tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and appealing presentation of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Ensure the bakery department is well-stocked and operationally ready at all times.
- Accurately price and sign merchandise according to standards.
- Follow strict compliance to cold chain policies such as thermometer calibration, temperature logs, food handling, product rotation, and expiry date management.
- Adhere to food safety and cleaning protocols consistently.
- Manage ordering, markdowns, clearances, and labeling effectively.
- Prepare bakery items by following exact thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality.
- Safely secure all bakery displays.
Compensation
The minimum hourly wage for this position is $17.20 CAD.
