Baker and Packager Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Baker and Packager Associate who enjoys helping customers, following recipes accurately, and maintaining excellent organization. This role involves preparing freshly baked goods daily for our members, ensuring items are wrapped, labeled, and stored properly to guarantee freshness. The job demands multitasking under time pressure and delivering excellent service to bakery customers. Our team values being part of a larger group focused on delighting members.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with bakery team members, supporting communication and business flexibility.
• Prepare bakery products following recipes and production requirements, using baking equipment while ensuring food safety, sanitation, inventory control, and product quality.
• Utilize digital tools and handheld technology to manage production decisions, orders, training, and quality with the customer’s interests at heart.
• Maintain adherence to company standards for cleanliness, date control, packaging, and label accuracy, while minimizing waste.
• Be a strong advocate for the bakery department by modeling high-quality customer service and product standards with enthusiasm and commitment.
• Comply with company policies and ethical standards, working with an open-door approach and implementing improvement initiatives.
• Manage tasks and priorities by collaborating with stakeholders, identifying deadlines, communicating progress, and adapting to change or feedback.
• Maintain a welcoming environment by greeting members, assisting with bakery orders, and keeping the work area spotless.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranges from $17 to $25, guaranteed not to be below local minimum wage.
• Additional pay premiums between $0.35 and $3.00 may apply based on schedule, location, season, or duties performed, possibly stacking.
