Job Overview

The successful candidate will perform, supervise, and certify base maintenance activities on aircraft operated by Air Arabia and third parties, adhering to the CAR 66 B1 license authorisation. This involves inspections, fault rectification, repairs, and component replacements to maintain aircraft serviceability, operational dependability, and airworthiness compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review assigned maintenance task cards closely with the Maintenance Manager to fully understand the tasks, priorities, required documentation, and safety precautions.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance on aircraft as per task card instructions, ensuring availability and correct usage of all necessary documentation, parts, tools, and ground support equipment.
  • Execute aircraft testing and inspections at standards that identify and document any defects or damages according to approved procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defects using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and guidance from Engineering.
  • Certify the completion of maintenance tasks within own authorization scope, verifying all paperwork is properly completed.
  • Effectively communicate with Engineers and Technicians involved to ensure coordinated, continuous, and seamless handover of work.
  • Ensure all mandatory safety safeguards are observed before and during maintenance operations, including the use of protective equipment and safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Manage human factor considerations to avoid task interruptions and ensure clear maintenance handover procedures.
  • Provide positive support and professional advice to operational teams, fostering teamwork.
  • Supervise and guide Technicians performing non-certifying maintenance related to assigned tasks, making sure they are properly briefed.
  • Represent Air Arabia with professionalism when interacting with flight crews, third-party personnel, and customers.
  • Maintain cost awareness by minimizing waste of materials and avoiding unnecessary repairs and damages during maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Possession of an EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with approvals on Airbus A320 aircraft.
  • Commitment to remove any license limitations within 9 months of hire.
  • Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 B1 Category License.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of airframe and engine system maintenance.
  • Proficient English communication skills for technical purposes.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to acquire a UAE driving license.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience certifying maintenance specifically on Airbus A320 family aircraft.
  • At least 5 years working experience within a base maintenance environment.
