Job description

Job Objective

The role aims to meet and exceed commercial targets within a designated area by fostering strong business relationships, enhancing brand presence, and promoting the company's products and services. It involves executing marketing campaigns and boosting market share while aligning with company policies and guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve and surpass set sales goals for the assigned territory by monitoring financial results, diagnosing performance gaps, recommending and implementing corrective plans alongside management.
  • Seek and capitalize on new sales prospects through various channels like travel agencies, corporate clients, and online portals within the territory.
  • Conduct on-site visits to establish contact with decision-makers at travel agencies.
  • Arrange and lead meetings to inform and influence partners regarding airline product offerings and services.
  • Establish and sustain strong business relationships with travel agencies, GSAs, government bodies, ministries, tourism companies, and independent agents to expand distribution networks and drive sales growth.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of stakeholders and key customers in the designated region.
  • Perform competitor benchmarking and market analysis through field visits to stay informed about market dynamics and customer demands affecting trends.
  • Prepare and deliver timely sales performance reports to supervisors, enabling informed decisions to achieve load factor targets.
  • Assess the unique requirements of the territory in relation to airline offerings; collaborate with Sales and Revenue teams to explore new routes and present business cases for approval.
  • Provide guidance and training to sales agents about new products, systems, and effective sales strategies to promote the airline and brand within the area.
  • Work closely with management, marketing, and corporate communication teams to implement marketing initiatives such as road-shows, trade presentations, and familiarization trips that enhance brand visibility.
  • Coordinate with the E-Business team to boost online sales and increase ancillary revenue through targeted sales efforts.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience relevant to the assigned region, ideally within the aviation, airline, or tourism sectors; experience with low-cost carriers is advantageous.
  • Additional certifications in Aviation, IATA, or Tourism are considered a plus.
  • Exhibit strong persuasion and marketing skills.
  • Aptitude for generating reports, comparative analyses, and charts using statistics to discern trends and support revenue strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify challenges, and propose effective resolutions.
  • Cost-conscious with strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Balance technical know-how with interpersonal skills to successfully implement new initiatives aligned with company goals.
  • Understand market requirements and trends to plan effectively.
  • Already established rapport with key clients and governmental organizations.
  • Proven capacity to contribute to and meet business objectives and KPIs.
