Atlassian Jira Software Administrator

Role Overview

We seek a skilled Atlassian Jira Software Administrator with in-depth hands-on experience managing Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, both on Data Center/Server platforms and Atlassian Cloud environments. The role involves leading migration efforts, extensive scripting, and integrations using APIs, and applying Agile and ITSM/ITIL methodologies effectively within Atlassian tools.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills

• Expert-level administration of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence for both Data Center/Server and Atlassian Cloud versions.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute Jira and Confluence migrations from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud platforms successfully.
• Proficiency with Atlassian Guard for enhanced security and governance.
• Advanced scripting in Groovy utilizing ScriptRunner, including development of listeners, scripted fields, workflow post-functions, and administration utilities.
• Strong capabilities in scripting and integrating Jira and Confluence using their REST APIs on both Data Center and Cloud variants.
• Practical familiarity with essential Atlassian Marketplace add-ons such as Assets & Inventory, EazyBI, ScriptRunner, Custom Charts, Projectrak, Structure, Tempo, Zephyr, and Jira Plans or related tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of user management mechanisms, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Active Directory integration.
• Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and ITSM/ITIL processes and how they translate into Jira Software and Jira Service Management configurations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or significantly contributing to large-scale Atlassian Cloud migrations within regulated financial services or similar environments.
• Background working in consulting firms or as part of Atlassian Partner teams delivering cloud migration projects for multiple clients.
• Relevant professional certifications related to Atlassian products and administration.
