Role Overview
This position demands extensive expertise in Linux systems administration, emphasizing profound knowledge of Linux internals and a strong ability in Ansible automation. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for configuring, hardening, and maintaining secure, scalable Linux environments primarily on RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE distributions.
Core Linux Expertise (10+ years)
- In-depth understanding of Linux processes, memory handling, storage management, and kernel concepts.
- Proficient in system configuration and security hardening for multiple Linux distributions including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
- Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for Linux systems.
- Experience managing filesystems, Logical Volume Manager (LVM), RAID configurations, networking, and boot loaders.
- Ability to architect and oversee secure, scalable Linux infrastructures.
Ansible Automation Skills (5+ years)
- Expertise in crafting modular and reusable playbooks alongside role-based structures.
- Strong command over YAML syntax, Jinja2 templating, and managing inventory files.
- Optional but highly valued experience in developing custom Ansible modules, filters, or plugins.
- Experience automating large-scale tasks including configuration management, patching, application deployments, and infrastructure provisioning.
