Associate Security Engineer - AI Agent Development

This role involves working within agile teams to develop software that meets functional requirements while defending against cybersecurity threats and malicious activities. As an emerging security engineer, you will engage in designing, developing, and troubleshooting software components while enhancing your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement standardized security solutions following established playbooks to fulfill security needs for internal stakeholders such as product, platform, and application teams.
• Utilize enterprise-approved AI technologies to accelerate vulnerability analysis and produce security documentation, ensuring careful validation and protection of sensitive information.
• Develop secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited supervision.
• Analyze and correlate incident data using authorized tools to assess and interpret threat probabilities and impacts for vulnerability identification.
• Contribute to continuity-related initiatives including awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
• Incorporate reuse-first and AI-assisted approaches within the SDLC and toolchains to enhance security testing and control validation, maintaining traceability and compliance with resiliency and security standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Professional training or certification in security and/or software engineering combined with a minimum of two years of practical experience.
• Basic experience in creating security engineering solutions.
• Knowledgeable in leveraging enterprise-approved AI tools within security engineering workflows, maintaining diligence in output validation and data sensitivity.
• Capability to critically assess AI-generated code and security suggestions, escalating concerns appropriately and adhering to security policies.
• Proficiency in coding with at least one programming language.
• Experience within the full software development lifecycle, including agile and CI/CD methodologies, focusing on application resiliency and security measures.
• Fundamental knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and system architectural patterns.
• Skill in employing approved tooling for incident data analysis and vulnerability assessment support.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Certifications relating to Cloud, AI, and Cybersecurity such as AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, AWS DevOps, or OpenShift Certified Professional.
• Understanding of coding standards, design patterns, algorithms, and AI agent development concepts.
• Familiarity with multiple programming languages and frameworks including Java, Python, and Terraform.
