Associate Engineering Director - MEP (M4)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive delivery of critical infrastructure MEP systems including power, district cooling, water, and utilities, overseeing all phases from design through commissioning and final handover.
• Manage the entire MEP lifecycle encompassing scheduling, health, safety and wellbeing (HSW), quality assurance, system commissioning, and project closure.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance throughout tendering, procurement, and contract fulfillment processes.
• Conduct and oversee design reviews ensuring strict adherence to standards, coordination and compliance with engineering criteria.
• Develop and implement project strategies related to planning, sequencing, logistics, and commissioning methodologies such as Integrated Systems Testing (IST), Authority to Proceed (ATP), and Soft Landings.
• Engage with key stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and senior executives (up to C-suite), effectively influencing project outcomes.
• Lead and cultivate large multidisciplinary MEP teams, focusing on performance enhancement, behavioral standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate towards achieving net zero carbon goals by actively managing carbon emissions and promoting reduction initiatives during project delivery.

Essential Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Have a minimum of 15 years' experience managing significant MEP and infrastructure projects in complex environments.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in electrical, mechanical, public health systems, and integrated controls including Building Management Systems (BMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Fire & Life Safety Systems (FLS).
• Proven success in design oversight, commissioning, and completing full project lifecycle delivery.
• Advanced knowledge of programme planning including sequencing and critical path management techniques.
• Meet visa requirements for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and possess relevant experience in high-value projects and programmes for project management consultancy firms, complying with immigration and client standards.
