About the Role
Gleeds in Doha offers a dynamic opportunity for a qualified MRICS Quantity Surveying professional to lead cost management services in construction and facilities management projects. This role demands a senior team leader experienced in quantity surveying within buildings and real estate operations and maintenance sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive pre and post contract cost management services for construction and facilities management packages.
- Advising and executing strategic procurement for facilities management.
- Overseeing service delivery and commission management to ensure adherence to Gleeds' quality standards.
- Building and sustaining strong client relationships through active engagement.
- Representing Gleeds with client senior management as an authorized senior consultant.
- Performing cost planning, estimating, and value engineering activities.
- Preparing Bills of Quantities and developing tender documentation, including creating tender evaluation criteria.
- Conducting tender process management and producing client reports.
- Promptly notifying directors about any issues arising or potentially arising in projects.
Candidate Profile
- MRICS Chartered status and MMUP Grade A certification mandatory.
- At least 15 years of post-graduate quantity surveying experience, with 10+ years in GCC countries including Qatar.
- Minimum 5 years working on infrastructure projects exceeding US$100 million.
- Proven expertise in building projects and substantial mixed-use developments.
- Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies and contract tendering.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant engineering discipline.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
