Associate Assembler - Evening Shift

As an Associate Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling components into finished medical devices in line with regulatory standards and company protocols. Your detailed workmanship and dedication to continuous improvement are essential to translating innovative concepts into life-changing products.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM (Thursday shift concludes at 2:00 AM).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various tools and equipment to assemble medical devices accurately and efficiently at assigned workstations, mastering multiple tasks in accordance with work order instructions and drawings.
• Use computer systems to navigate assembly drawings and log part status data; perform inventory checks at shift start and during transitions between work orders.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, documenting traceable device history records and entering manufacturing data as required.
• Conduct line clearance by cleaning and sanitizing workstations before shifts and between work orders, ensuring all necessary components and tools are prepared and available.
• Perform quality control through self-inspection, including visual checks under magnification, and review colleagues' sequential work, offering constructive feedback and escalating any issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Maintain punctuality, consistent attendance, and complete full shifts of 8 hours or more.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties to keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred: Completion of Leaving Certificate or equivalent educational level.
• Proficient communication abilities and elementary numeracy skills, with the ability to read, understand, and speak English effectively.
• Commitment to following Edwards Lifesciences' Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines within a clean room medical device manufacturing environment.
• Capability to learn and implement new and advanced procedures through training while working with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate closely with colleagues and supervisors.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback based on sequential work assessments.
• Willingness to work overtime to support continuous and efficient manufacturing operations.
• Compliance with company policies including pandemic protocols and environmental safety requirements, proactively contributing to injury prevention and pollution control.
