Role Overview

The Assistant Support Worker role involves delivering compassionate care and support to individuals using Nua Healthcare’s services. This position focuses on helping people progress towards their personal goals and live meaningful lives through tailored support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily schedules and plans tailored to their needs.
  • Accompany and support people during community activities and outings.
  • Help facilitate education, skills development, and achievement of personal objectives.
  • Support living skills development including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending medical appointments, and family visits.
  • Adhere to all relevant company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Work shifts across a 24-hour day and 7-day week roster system.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • No formal qualification is needed for the Assistant Support Worker; all required training will be provided.
  • Social Care Workers must hold a Level 7/8 degree in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related field and be registered with CORU.
  • Relevant life experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A positive work attitude and passion for supporting others are essential.
  • Possession of a full driving license or actively working towards obtaining one is required.
