Position Summary

We are looking for compassionate and motivated Assistant Support Workers to join our team in Ennis, County Clare. This role is vital in offering high-quality, person-centered assistance to individuals using our services, helping them to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives within their communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in planning and managing daily routines and activities.
• Support participation and access to local community events and services.
• Help individuals with educational pursuits, skill-building, and meeting personal goals.
• Encourage the development and maintenance of independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and nurturing social and family relationships.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice as reasonably practicable.
• Work flexible shifts as part of a 24/7 service to accommodate individual needs.

• Individuals with Autism and Asperger Syndrome
• People with Acquired Brain Injuries and Challenging Behaviour
• Those with Intellectual Disabilities including Alzheimer's or Dementia
• Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery cases
• Persons experiencing Personality Disorders

Skill Requirements

• No formal qualifications required; comprehensive training and continuous professional development are provided.
• Relevant life experience or previous support work experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Positive attitude with eagerness to learn and support independent, meaningful lives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to foster positive relationships with clients, families, co-workers, and professionals.
• Possession of a valid driving license or active progress towards obtaining one.
• Flexibility and dependability to work variable shifts in accordance with service demands.
