Job Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing all facets of store operations. The role focuses on boosting sales through effective team motivation, guiding staff to deliver excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and ensuring smooth operational function in line with company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Coaching sales personnel to enhance customer interactions and achieve sales targets while ensuring thorough product knowledge
- Assisting with operational tasks including maintaining store efficiency, adherence to procedural standards, supervising inventory control, and resolving stock discrepancies
- Contributing to recruitment, staff development, disciplinary proceedings, and performance assessments
- Upholding visual merchandising standards to maintain store appearance
- Ensuring workplace safety and serving as a role model for company policies
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The position requires moderate physical activity involving extensive walking and standing during shifts. Tasks include lifting, pushing, pulling, and holding items weighing 35 pounds or more with proper support. The role also demands strong concentration for administrative duties such as cash handling and POS system usage.

Professional Requirements
