Store Assistant

About the Role

We are a medical equipment assembly company seeking a meticulous Store Assistant responsible for managing components, sub-assemblies, and finished products. This position requires maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring traceability, and timely provision of parts to the assembly line while adhering to our quality system standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept deliveries of components, raw materials, and packaging; cross-check them against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Collaborate with Quality Control for incoming item inspections; isolate any rejected or unapproved materials in quarantine zones.
• Document batch numbers, serial numbers, and expiry dates to ensure comprehensive traceability.
• Organize inventory by category and storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, and ESD sensitivity, applying FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) protocols.
• Distribute and kit components as per Bill of Materials (BOM) and production orders for the assembly line.
• Receive completed devices from production; manage their storage, dispatch, and packing paperwork.
• Update stock records using ERP, Tally, or Excel; maintain daily records including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), issue slips, and gate passes.
• Perform routine cycle counting and physical stock audits; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor product shelf lives and flag items nearing expiration.
• Manage returns, defective goods, and non-conforming materials according to standard operating procedures.
• Assist in internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accessible records.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, ensuring pest control and compliance with safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Notify management regarding low inventory levels and reorder requirements.
