Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager will directly support the Store Manager by overseeing day-to-day store operations. The role focuses on boosting sales by encouraging and coaching the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service. Additionally, the role entails meeting operational goals and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the sales team to enhance customer service and meet sales targets
• Ensure thorough product knowledge among staff and monitor their performance regularly
• Assist in managing overall store efficiency, including inventory control and resolving discrepancies
• Support recruitment, employee development, disciplinary actions, and staff evaluations
• Maintain high merchandising standards and store presentation
• Promote workplace safety and act as a role model for company policies

Work Environment

The role involves moderate physical activity including significant standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 35 lbs or more with assistance. Attention to detail is required when handling paperwork, cash management, and operating the point of sale system.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. Flexibility is required to work various shifts including openings, closings, weekends, holidays, and potentially overtime during peak business periods.
