About the Role
The Assistant Store Manager position serves as a stepping stone to becoming a Store Manager, offering upcoming retail leaders the chance to develop and refine leadership capabilities essential for managing their own store. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional value to customers and fostering a positive workplace where team members can thrive and build their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Grocery, Online, and Nightfill Managers to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
- Create and nurture an inclusive store culture where every team member feels welcomed and valued.
- Champion customer satisfaction through consistent application of Everyday ACTs: Acknowledge, Care, and Thank.
- Prioritize safety by enforcing correct processes to protect both staff and customers.
- Promote cooperation across departments to enhance team experience and appropriate staffing with meaningful hours.
- Develop team members and leaders, unlocking their potential to help them achieve their career aspirations within the company.
- Leverage data insights to address store-specific customer needs, enhancing both customer and team experiences.
- Collaborate with Department Managers to meet key performance indicators by ensuring adequate resources, training, and adherence to procedures.
- Engage with community initiatives to build strong local partnerships that add value to the community.
- Support sustainability efforts aligned with the company’s Sustainability Plan to contribute to a better future.

Working Conditions
The standard roster includes shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
