About the Role
Join Petstock Group as an Assistant Store Manager at our brand-new location in Angle Vale. In this role, you will serve as the second-in-command, supporting the Store Manager to lead a passionate team focused on providing exceptional customer service and contributing meaningfully to the success of the Petstock brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively guide and motivate your team by setting a positive example and providing daily mentorship.
- Work closely with the Store Manager to coach and develop team members’ skills and product knowledge.
- Ensure a consistently outstanding customer experience by leading from the front.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture within the store.
- Assist in managing inventory accuracy and ensuring adherence to stock integrity procedures.
- Oversee visual merchandising efforts to uphold high display standards.
- Keep abreast of developments in pet care, products, and services to demonstrate initiative.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for new team members.
- Create an engaging and supportive workplace environment where team members enjoy working.
- Support local marketing initiatives and sponsorship opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a store leadership or retail management role, or eagerness to advance into such a position.
- Proven motivation to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams and foster a positive culture.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage priorities effectively amidst competing demands.
- Commitment to promoting workplace health and safety practices.
- Demonstrated business understanding and acumen.
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving work environments and challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building solid relationships with customers and colleagues.
