Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with expertise in High Voltage Electrical Engineering, preferably with experience in the execution of Primary Sub-Stations, to join our Construction Phase Services Team based in Doha, Qatar. This position involves leading a team of engineers and inspectors responsible for construction supervision.
The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Core Project Management team to oversee multiple project packages within a defined boundary. Key objectives include ensuring adherence to quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements. The role involves close coordination with the Project Manager, Technical Director, and other team members to handle design review processes, monitor engineering deliverables, conduct site inspections, and maintain strong client relations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and directing design review and construction supervision activities, including management of schedules, budget, and resource deployment.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design and engineering review teams ensuring prompt submission and approval of submittals and shop drawings.
- Contribute to quality assurance procedures, manage risks, and enforce compliance with applicable standards.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal and client meetings.
- Engage with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective and smooth project execution by the construction contractor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Between 12 to 14 years of proven experience in project management and construction supervision consultancy services.
- A comprehensive understanding of construction supervision workflows, QA/QC protocols, and safety regulations.
- Exceptional communication abilities and competence in stakeholder relationship management.
