Assistant Manager

About the Role

Panda Express is seeking skilled leaders to join our store management team. We are dedicated to fostering the professional and personal growth of our associates by offering paid leadership training, mentorship, and comprehensive support from our caring community. This role involves assisting in the operation of a single Panda Express store to achieve financial targets and ensure outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the overall management of store operations.
• Lead hiring, supervising, and directing associates toward meeting financial goals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high operational standards.
• Complete a minimum of three weeks of store leadership training to prepare for store management success.

Required Qualifications and Expectations

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius of your home if necessary.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to work opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.
• Hold Food Safety certification such as Serve Safe.

Physical and Work Environment Demands

The position requires working in fast-paced, high-temperature environments with considerable standing periods. Tasks include preparing hot and cold foods, handling kitchen equipment like Chinese cook knives, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Employees must manage high noise levels, reach across counters, and adapt to changing priorities while communicating effectively and managing conflicts.
