Job description
About the Role
This position supports identifying and addressing the training and organizational development needs within the company, ensuring effective training programs that align with business goals. The training topics span product knowledge, company values, customer service, and leadership skills. The role involves collaborating on needs assessments, designing and developing training programs, facilitating both customized and corporate training sessions, and evaluating the training effectiveness to measure return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and communicate available training programs to employees.
- Model excellent hospitality leadership and customer service to foster a positive guest environment.
- Assist employees in recognizing behaviors that enhance service excellence.
- Ensure continuous training for employees to comprehend guest expectations.
- Apply effective training techniques to help employees develop guest satisfaction skills.
- Regularly coordinate with training staff to support learning initiatives.
- Observe employees’ service behaviors and provide constructive feedback to individuals and managers.
- Monitor training enrollment and attendance, and engage with participants to evaluate their progress and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to assess employees' technical and leadership competencies.
- Analyze feedback from comment cards, guest satisfaction data, and other metrics to identify improvement areas.
- Measure the transfer of learning to operational performance while embedding adult learning principles in training sessions.
- Identify performance gaps and work with management to create and implement appropriate development plans.
- Modify training methodologies as needed and initiate retraining when necessary.
- Ensure training programs align with key business objectives and reinforce brand values and philosophy.
- Integrate guest satisfaction components within departmental meetings to encourage ongoing enhancement.
- Assist in preparing and managing the training budget, ensuring compliance with financial goals and controlling expenses.
- Utilize purchasing cards responsibly for departmental expenditures where applicable.
Candidate Profile
- Either a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in HR or a related area, supported by a certified trainer credential,
- Or a 4-year bachelor's degree in the areas mentioned above with certification as a trainer and no prior work experience required.
