Job description
Job Overview
This role requires meticulous verification of figures, entries, and related documentation to ensure accurate data entry, mathematical precision, and correct coding. The candidate will be responsible for organizing, securing, and maintaining all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in line with established policies and procedures.
Key Duties
- Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
- Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, and computer systems.
- Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as outlined.
- Conduct periodic cash audits following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Manage and document petty cash, cash registers, and contracts.
- Document, communicate, and address any cash discrepancies according to SOP.
- Serve as the liaison between the hotel and armored transport services or primary banking institutions.
- Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audits to ensure adherence to SOPs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Comply with company policies including maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Safeguard company assets and uphold privacy and security for guests and colleagues.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal and written formats.
- Provide assistance to colleagues ensuring they understand their tasks.
- Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships to support team objectives.
- Handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds independently as required.
- Perform any reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational attainment of a secondary school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No licenses or certifications are necessary.
