Job description
Position Overview
The F&B Service Assistant role at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts involves delivering exceptional dining experiences where guests enjoy more than just food and drinks; the focus is on creating memorable and distinctive moments. This position requires initiative to provide comprehensive services, including table preparation, kitchen communication, direct guest interaction and service, and maintenance of cleanliness in work areas and supplies.
Key Duties
- Prepare tables and settings to high standards for guest arrivals.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Engage with guests to offer attentive and personalized service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of service areas and equipment.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds independently, or up to 50 pounds with assistance, and bending or twisting as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to stay on their feet and move around for long durations, navigate uneven or slippery floors, manage menu visuals and information, and handle physical workload with care.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Less than one year of relevant work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience necessary.
- No licenses or certifications required.
