Job Overview
The Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the Store Manager with daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. This position steps in as acting manager during the Store Manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in daily operational tasks and staff management.
- Participate in merchandising, restocking shelves, and handling daily shipments including unpacking and packing.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve escalated issues efficiently.
- Train, coach, and develop store employees.
- Manage cash operations and assist with opening and closing the store as required.
- Delegate tasks to team members while ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the store.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Responsible for employee recruitment and performance evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in retail sales.
- At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
