About the Role
Panda Express is actively seeking experienced leaders to join our store management team. We are dedicated to the growth and development both professionally and personally for all of our associates. To support your success, we provide paid leadership training, mentorship, and ongoing community assistance.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the operations of a single store. Your duties involve hiring, guiding, and managing team members to meet financial objectives while delivering excellent guest service. Successfully running your store is central to this role. Comprehensive store leadership training lasting at least three weeks will be provided to prepare you.
Desired Qualifications and Requirements
- A high school diploma is mandatory.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius of their current home to work in a new store if required.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Must hold a valid Food Safety certification such as Serve Safe.
Working Conditions and ADA Statement
The work environment includes hot, steamy conditions near food preparation areas with restricted space requiring standing for extended periods. Tasks include preparing hot and cold foods, using kitchen tools like Chinese knives, and working quickly with accuracy. Physical demands involve lifting up to 50 pounds, standing up to four hours, and reaching across counters. Kitchens are noisy and storage is limited. Employees must thrive in fast-paced settings, communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and manage conflicts professionally.
