About the Role
Join Panda Express as an Assistant Manager and lead a single store's operations, focusing on achieving financial targets and delivering outstanding customer service. This position includes responsibilities such as hiring, managing, and guiding associates. To support your growth, Panda provides a paid store leadership training program lasting three or more weeks, mentorship, and ongoing support from the Panda community dedicated to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in operating one Panda Express restaurant location effectively
- Manage hiring, directing, and overseeing associates to meet and exceed store financial goals
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional experiences to all guests
- Make strategic decisions to ensure the store’s success
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma is mandatory
- Must be willing to relocate within 50 miles of home if required
- Availability to work flexible schedules including opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as per business demands
- Valid Food Safety certification (Serve Safe) is required
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work involves standing for extended periods (up to four hours) in hot, noisy kitchens with limited space
- Ability to handle hot and cold food preparation using kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and reaching across counters approximately 36 inches high
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring effective communication, adaptability, and conflict management skills
