Position Overview

• This senior technical role places strong emphasis on Revit, architectural documentation, and detailing.
• You will contribute to projects across multiple stages including developed design, Resource Consent, Building Consent, tender, and construction documentation.
• Focus areas include building envelope and façade detailing, encompassing curtain wall systems, cladding, windows, doors, waterproofing, and roof junctions.
• You will take ownership of Revit standards, families, templates, and documentation workflows.
• The role involves coordinating consultant information and devising practical, constructible technical solutions.
• There is the potential to become a key technical asset within an expanding design team.
• Opportunities for advancement into technical leadership positions with responsibilities such as mentoring and quality assurance are available.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive architectural technical and documentation experience within New Zealand.
• High proficiency in Revit software.
• Deep knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code, especially E2 (external moisture), accessibility, fire safety, seismic considerations, and commercial construction practices.
• Strong skills in architectural detailing and expertise in building envelope design.
• Ability to confidently produce Building Consent, tender, and construction documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail paired with practical insight into translating designs into built construction.
• Experience in commercial, hospitality, retail, refurbishment, or other technically demanding projects is advantageous.
• A collaborative and proactive approach with enthusiasm for enhancing technical standards and workflows.
