Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and creative Architect or Technologist to join our Bristol-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from their initial concept through to construction, ensuring alignment with client objectives throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architectural designs utilizing software such as Vectorworks and SketchUp to produce comprehensive plans and 3D visualizations.
- Engage in feasibility assessments, conceptualization, and detailed design tasks.
- Create drawings necessary for planning applications, building regulations compliance, and construction execution.
- Attend design team meetings and collaborate closely with consultants and contractors.
- Conduct site inspections, assist with surveys, prepare reports, and manage project administration tasks.
- Maintain current knowledge of building codes, planning regulations, and construction standards.
Experience and Skills Required
- Demonstrable solid background in architecture supported by a robust portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design and creative software tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for delivering quality design outcomes.
- Practical construction experience providing a clear understanding of on-site building processes.
- In-depth knowledge of joinery methods and material applications.
- Competency in interpreting technical drawings and managing complex design coordination.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with UK planning frameworks and building regulations.
