Architect

Role Overview

The Architect will be responsible for creating architectural designs, drafting technical documents, and providing effective design solutions while collaborating with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and various project teams.

Key Duties

• Conceptualize and develop architectural layouts, plans, elevations, and detailed designs.
• Create technical drawings, project specifications, and comprehensive documentation.
• Convert client needs into functional and practical design outcomes.
• Collaborate with structural, civil, MEP, and other discipline experts to align architectural designs.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and evaluate designs in situ.
• Review shop drawings, materials, samples, and technical proposals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
• Maintain communication with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and approval authorities.
• Identify and resolve conflicts or issues related to design and technical aspects.
• Supervise construction progress to ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications.
• Assist in responding to RFIs, implement design modifications, handle variations, and address technical considerations on-site.
• Support permit acquisition, authority submissions, and project approval processes.
• Prepare design presentations, progress reports, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Contribute to value engineering efforts and devise cost-efficient design strategies.
• Guarantee the delivery of high-quality architectural outputs that are accurate and timely.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Relevant practical experience in architectural design, construction, or consultancy fields.
• In-depth understanding of architectural theories, materials, detailing, and construction techniques.
• Proficient use of design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or equivalents.
• Experience in preparing detailed architectural and technical construction drawings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and local authority requirements.
• Strong coordination capabilities with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent creativity paired with technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and precision in design work.
• Effective communication, presentation, and client management abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project documentation management.
• Experience within the UAE or GCC architectural and construction environment is a plus.
