Job Overview

Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), this architectural role focuses on innovative design within one of North America's most multicultural and dynamic cities. The team specializes in creating world-class designs for transportation hubs, sports arenas, and entertainment venues. The Toronto office serves as a central hub promoting innovation, creativity, and architectural excellence, shaping both urban and suburban landscapes with an emphasis on functionality and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team to develop architectural design solutions alongside detailed construction drawings.
• Oversee architectural staff, facilitate project meetings, and coordinate multidisciplinary collaborations across building disciplines.
• Conduct internal reviews and ensure quality control of models and drawings in compliance with BIM standards.
• Research and incorporate materials, products, and technologies into architectural specifications and documentation.
• Manage consultant teams and maintain consistent client communication.
• Provide technical and administrative leadership to meet client expectations within set budgets, quality standards, and schedules.
• Handle financial planning aspects including project scheduling, forecasting, staffing, and liaise with accounting for successful project delivery.
• Travel periodically to remote First Nation communities and job sites.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect in Ontario (OAA) or eligible for registration.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable architectural role.
• Familiarity with Provincial and National architectural standards and building codes.
• Proficient in BIM workflows and tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam.
• Experience with visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
• Experience with or openness to working with Indigenous communities is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation

Salary ranges vary by region within Canada and are dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and location. Approximate annual salary ranges are:

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $80,800 - $107,000
• MB & ON: $73,700 - $101,500
• NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $73,000 - $96,900

Final compensation will be determined based on multiple criteria including individual performance and business needs.
