Our Defence sector is a leader in Canada’s mission-critical infrastructure supporting Canadian Armed Forces, collaborating through innovative delivery models such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Modified Design Build (MDB). We are seeking a Senior Architect experienced in defence projects with bilingualism, security clearance eligibility, and project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee architectural teams in producing comprehensive design solutions and construction documents.
• Manage architectural staff groups, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and chair project meetings to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Conduct internal quality audits of architectural models and drawings, ensuring adherence to BIM standards.
• Investigate and integrate building materials, products, and technologies into project specifications and detailing.
• Oversee consultant teams and manage client communications effectively.
• Provide technical leadership and administrative guidance to meet project goals within budget, schedule, and quality parameters.
• Handle financial management of projects including planning, forecasting, scheduling, staffing, and collaborating with accounting functions.
• Participate in on-site visits including travel to remote First Nation communities and various work locations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be a registered architect with the Manitoba Association of Architects (MAA), or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a comparable architectural role.
• Canadian Reliability or Secret security clearance is required, or the ability to obtain such clearance.
• Solid familiarity with applicable Provincial and National standards and building codes.
• Proficiency in BIM concepts and workflows, with hands-on experience in REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam software.
• Knowledge of visualization tools and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
• Experience or willingness to work with Indigenous communities is considered a plus.

Compensation

Salaries vary by region with the following approximate ranges:

• Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Yukon: $93,700 to $124,200 CAD annually.
• Manitoba and Ontario: $95,000 to $125,800 CAD annually.
• New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec: $84,700 to $112,400 CAD annually.

The final salary may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, performance, location, and organizational needs.
