Job description
Role Overview
The Architect position at MadOverFish requires leading the design and development of architectural spaces across residential, commercial, and public sectors, with a focus on custom aquatic installations. This on-site opportunity in Navi Mumbai is full-time and involves creating conceptual designs, detailed drawings, and ensuring designs meet structural, aesthetic, and life support criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts and detailed construction drawings specific to aquatic and themed spaces.
- Collaborate extensively with fabrication specialists, marine biologists, project managers, and clients to translate requirements into practical, safe, and visually engaging solutions.
- Conduct regular site visits and coordinate efficiently with contractors to oversee project execution from design inception to final delivery.
- Review and validate technical specifications, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to process enhancements in design workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid grounding in architecture principles and experience with architectural design, including 3D modeling for specialized aquatic environments.
- Project management capabilities encompassing planning, cross-team coordination, and deadline management.
- Beneficial knowledge of software development and integration relevant to design tools and visualization technologies.
- Proficiency in design applications such as AutoCAD and SketchUp, with the ability to read and interpret structural and MEP plans.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture or a closely related discipline, holding or eligible for professional licensure.
- Strong communication, teamwork abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail, creative design sensibility, and a passion for niche environments like aquariums and themed spaces.
- Prior experience in interior architecture, themed environment creation, or specialized fabrication projects is a plus.
