Role Overview

We seek Applied AI Engineers to develop AI-driven systems for BJAK's innovative AI Neobank application. This role demands practical application rather than pure research — delivering AI-powered solutions to automate workflows, enhance products, reduce manual workloads, and simplify financial services for customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents, workflows, tools, and automations addressing real-world customer, product, and operational challenges.
• Implement Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval techniques, tool invocation, evaluation mechanisms, guardrails, and automation within financial workflows.
• Create AI-enhanced experiences across onboarding, customer support, KYC, risk reviews, CRM, operations, document management, and product intelligence.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to identify valuable build targets, deliver rapid solutions, and continuously refine production systems.
• Architect solutions mindful of constraints including accuracy, risk of hallucination, latency, cost, security, compliance, and user trust.
• Transform manual processes into robust AI-enabled systems capable of scaling efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven hands-on engineering skills beyond AI research or management roles.
• Experience developing AI agents, LLM applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, automated workflows, copilots, or similar AI-driven tools.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or related tech stacks.
• Sound judgment in identifying appropriate automation opportunities.
• Ability to deliver working solutions, ensure test coverage, and enhance system reliability continuously.
• Background in fintech sectors including banking, risk management, KYC, fraud detection, CRM, or operations automation is highly desirable.

Additional Details

Location: This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must reside in Singapore to join this market-specific hiring initiative.

Language: Proficiency in English is essential as it is the primary working language across all global teams.

Interview Process: The hiring approach is swift, consisting of an online assessment or practical task, followed by a technical interview, and concluding with a CEO/final round interview.
