Appian Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise workflow and case-management applications using the Appian platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Create Appian applications employing SAIL, Process Models, Records, Expression Rules, decision logic, dashboards, and reports.
• Develop integrations using REST and SOAP APIs and manage secure data access through Appian data objects and SQL databases.
• Configure security settings including user roles, groups, object and record security, as well as exception handling, timers, and notifications.
• Build reusable components adhering to Appian's best practices regarding development, naming conventions, security, and performance.
• Conduct unit testing, resolve defects, participate in peer reviews, manage packaging and deployment, and validate releases.
• Provide support for production incidents, handle enhancement requests, maintain documentation, create estimates, and participate in Agile delivery ceremonies.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Proficient hands-on experience with Appian components including SAIL, Records, Process Models, Interfaces, Integrations, and Reports.
• Strong understanding of CDTs/data models, Appian security, integration through REST/SOAP APIs, as well as SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with subprocesses, activity chaining, escalations, exception handling, and techniques for performance tuning.
• Exposure to Azure cloud environment and experience in banking or financial services is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian Associate Developer certification is desired; Senior Developer certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with stakeholders, strong analytical thinking, and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

Preferred domain experience is in Banking.

Experience requirement: 5 to 7 years.
