AppDynamics Engineer

Job Summary

We are in search of a seasoned AppDynamics Engineer to oversee and maintain comprehensive application performance monitoring for enterprise-level software. The engineer will be responsible for onboarding applications, setting up monitoring systems and health rules, developing dashboards, resolving performance issues, and ensuring full visibility into the health of application services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and support Application Performance Management utilizing AppDynamics.
• Integrate and configure new applications, particularly Java and .NET services, within the AppDynamics platform.
• Set up and supervise Business Transactions to maintain visibility into application performance.
• Establish and manage Health Rules, Policies, and Actions aligned with application and business needs.
• Continuously monitor applications for performance degradation, error detection, and abnormal behaviors.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of performance-related problems.
• Create and sustain customized dashboards and monitoring views within AppDynamics.
• Ensure complete instrumentation of all pertinent application services to guarantee full monitoring coverage.
• Analyze application metrics and propose actionable optimizations.
• Collaborate efficiently with application developers, infrastructure teams, and support personnel to address technical challenges.
• Drive ongoing enhancements in application monitoring standards, processes, and industry best practices.
• Generate monitoring reports and communicate technical progress to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience with AppDynamics APM tools.
• Proven skills in onboarding and configuring Java and .NET applications.
• Strong understanding of Business Transactions, Health Rules, Policies, and Action configurations in AppDynamics.
• Experience in diagnosing application performance issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Competence in designing and maintaining custom monitoring dashboards.
• Familiarity with instrumentation techniques and monitoring best practices for applications.
• Solid knowledge of application architectures, APIs, and web services.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
