Yard Supervisor

Overview

This position is designated for Saudi nationals and involves supervising container yard operations, coordinating with multiple stakeholders including customs agents, trucking companies, port and statutory authorities, and managing third-party service providers to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee container yard activities, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high customer satisfaction and track team performance.
• Lead and manage daily operations involving container maintenance, loading/unloading, stuffing and destuffing to fulfill customer requirements.
• Ensure operational profitability and control losses within the container yard.
• Maintain yard equipment including operating tools and forklifts, secure premises, and comply with statutory mandates.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize container yard operation expenses.
• Develop and execute product strategies aimed at the growth of container service yard offerings.
• Supervise third-party service providers, ensuring compliance with contracted terms and service level agreements.
• Coordinate effectively with shipping companies, agents, trucking firms, customs, port, and other regulatory bodies for seamless operations.
• Adopt and integrate new professional strategies and policies in alignment with management directives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of eight years' experience in the relevant technical discipline, with at least one year in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
