Analyst I, Global GBS - Payroll Analyst

Position Overview

The role of Payroll Analyst is crucial for the smooth operation of payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with compliance requirements. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, this position involves handling payroll tickets, processing requests, and timely follow-up on outstanding items. The analyst also addresses employee inquiries, supports regular reporting duties, and assists the payroll team in achieving service level targets and maintaining high performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage actively in all stages of the payroll processing cycle to ensure accuracy, policy compliance, and efficiency.
• Manage payroll ticket queues by processing requests promptly and escalating complicated issues when necessary.
• Monitor and follow up on ageing tickets to ensure resolution within set deadlines, collaborating with colleagues to prioritize urgent cases and reduce backlog.
• Address escalated tickets by coordinating with the Payroll Lead to resolve complex problems and provide effective solutions.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for employee payroll questions, delivering accurate and timely responses while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
• Participate in daily team meetings to discuss priorities, ticket status, and operational challenges to ensure smooth workflow.
• Coordinate with HR Business Partners weekly, sharing ticket updates, recurrent inquiries, and suggestions for payroll process enhancements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing ticket volumes, resolution times, and other relevant metrics; keep detailed documentation of resolved cases.
• Support adherence to payroll procedures and assist with audit requests by maintaining compliance trackers and documentation.
• Drive customer satisfaction by regularly analyzing feedback and implementing improvement initiatives.
• Follow Kraft Heinz Management System guidelines for payroll operations, ensuring alignment with KHMS standards and processes.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Payroll certification such as Certified Payroll Professional is an advantage.
• Certification in continuous improvement methodologies is also beneficial.

Professional Experience

• Between 2 to 4 years of payroll operations experience with a solid grasp of payroll processes and ticket management.
• Experience working with payroll software and HRIS systems; familiarity with Workday is preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards relevant to the jurisdiction.
• Exposure to platforms like Workday, Dayforce, or ServiceNow is considered a plus.
• Experience in payroll reconciliation and resolving unreconciled items is desirable.

• Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with HR, employees, and external vendors.

• Analytical thinking, using a logical and systematic approach to troubleshooting and process improvement.

Location

This role is based in Ahmedabad at the Venus Stratum GCC facility.
