AI Solution Architect

Overview

As an AI Solution Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions, guiding them from initial concept through to production deployment. Your role includes constructing modern MLOps pipelines, enhancing model performance and scalability, and ensuring compliance and security standards are met. Collaborating tightly with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders, you will champion AI innovations while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale enterprise AI and ML solutions
• Create and refine MLOps pipelines encompassing CI/CD, deployment, model monitoring, and retraining
• Optimize model performance and orchestrate models in production environments
• Ensure AI applications adhere to robustness, fairness, compliance, and security guidelines
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers on data pipelines, feature stores, and validating models
• Select and integrate up-to-date tools, frameworks, and architectural approaches
• Contribute to standards, best practices, and strategic roadmaps for AI/ML initiatives
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineering staff

Qualifications

• Several years of experience architecting, implementing, and operating AI/ML solutions
• Strong expertise in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), multi-language models (MLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), including architecture, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and agent orchestration
• Experience with popular frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Haystack
• Advanced programming skills in Python alongside practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, and Databricks, container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow covering deployment, observability, and governance
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards, including GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001/27701, and TISAX
• Experience in conceptualizing digital solutions and presenting them to customers

Required Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level) and good command of English

Desired Competencies

• Software engineering best practices including clean code, design patterns, and testing
• Project or team management experience, particularly with Scrum and CRISP-DM methodologies
• Hands-on experience with local large language models such as Llama.cpp, Ollama, vLLM, Unsloth, and common machine learning libraries like PyTorch, scikit-learn, and OpenCV
• Background in establishing AI platforms for enterprise search, test automation, and coding agents
• Data analysis skills encompassing statistics, Tableau, and R
• Certifications in AI, machine learning, cloud, or software engineering fields
