AI Research Scientist

Role Overview

Our client, an internationally recognized AI research laboratory, is seeking Research Scientists to contribute to pioneering developments in foundational models, native multimodal intelligence, and agentic systems. This role offers a chance to influence cutting-edge model creation directly.

Focus Areas

• Developing native multimodal models involving vision-language, audio-vision, and cross-modal interactions
• Executing large-scale pre-training and post-training techniques, including supervised fine-tuning (SFT), direct preference optimization (DPO), reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), and reinforcement learning aligned with AI feedback (RLAIF)
• Building and maintaining data engineering processes and synthetic data pipelines
• Designing and implementing agentic systems focused on reasoning, tool use, and memory architectures
• Conducting evaluations and benchmarking using methods such as LLM-based judgment and safety/alignment metrics
• Optimizing inference through techniques like quantization, model distillation, and frameworks such as vLLM and TensorRT-LLM

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent level of research experience
• Demonstrated practical expertise in at least one of the core focus areas outlined above
• Proficient coding skills in Python along with experience in PyTorch and distributed training systems
• A history of significant contributions through publications in premier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL) or major involvement in open-source foundational model projects
