Role Overview

As an Agentic AI Data Scientist at Kyndryl in Singapore, you will drive advancements in next-generation autonomous AI systems by building and scaling an open-source framework. The role involves collaborating with an expert team to solve large-scale, real-world challenges through innovative, fast-paced development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Kyndryl’s transformation into an AI-driven organization by contributing original ideas and intellectual property.
• Identify and address complex problems using agentic AI, bridging technical expertise with business impact.
• Work collaboratively with top talent in a flat organization where contributions are valued over titles.
• Engage in rapid development through prototyping, pair programming, and fast framework deployments.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach, blending strategic and technical insights.
• Translate business requirements into data science initiatives, autonomously experimenting with, building, and deploying scalable solutions.
• Design, train, and manage intelligent autonomous agents with tools like Python and Azure ML, focusing on dynamic self-improvement.
• Architect and co-own an open-source modular AI infrastructure integrating generative AI and practical tools, participating in design, product decisions, and customer success.
• Mentor emerging researchers and developers, potentially supervising industrial PhD candidates and contributing as a co-author of whitepapers.

Required Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, AI, or related disciplines.
• Practical experience developing or contributing to agentic AI frameworks beyond simple API usage.
• Proficient programming skills with Python and strong understanding of architectural design such as microservices and message broker systems.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration in a high-trust, low-hierarchy setting.
• Active participation in academic or open-source communities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Google machine learning platforms.
• Experience contributing to graph theory, DevOps, or distributed computing projects.
• Background in digital transformation, AI-native product development, or enterprise automation initiatives.
• Academic involvement including authoring or presenting whitepapers.
