Job description
Position Overview
Join Sheraton Hotels & Resorts as an Accounts Payable Supervisor based in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves ensuring accurate data entry, validating financial documents, and maintaining organized records in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role demands adherence to confidentiality, asset protection, and professional conduct while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify figures, postings, and documentation for accuracy and correct coding.
- Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, and cash equivalents following established procedures.
- Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial data.
- Classify and summarize numerical financial data using journals, ledgers, or computer systems.
- Complete specified period-end closing reports and procedures.
- Conduct periodic audits of cashier banks adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage petty cash, cashier banks, and contracts including distribution and record-keeping.
- Monitor and report all cash variances, acting according to SOPs.
- Serve as a liaison between the property and armored car services or main banking institutions.
- Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audits to maintain compliance with SOPs.
- Follow all company policies, uphold a professional appearance, and maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions with staff and guests.
- Support teamwork by maintaining positive relationships and helping the team achieve common objectives.
- Handle duties requiring moving or lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- No licenses or certifications necessary.
